I failed.

Okay. So the watermelon nails were not a success. :( but then I did a pink nail using China Glaze- Dont Touch My Tiara, and then I did a black half moon on my ring finger & then used my new art brushes to do a zebra print. It looked sloppy so it only lasted about an hour... Hahaha I went to the pool, and was instantly requested to do a friends nails. So I used China Glaze Traffic Jam, and Color Club Chelsea Girl. I did the Chelsea girl as the accent nail. I then used Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana and did a coat of that over the Traffic Jam, and China Glaze Prism over the Chelsea Girl. I love this combination! I would definitely do it again! I'll post pictures a bit later, because I'm updating from the pool using my iPhone :) But then I went home & did my own nails :) I painted them with China Glaze- secret peri-wink-le, and then used china glaze prism over top on my TWO accent nails, which I made my pinkie and index finger. I love this shade, and I love what the glitter polish did to it. Once again, pictures later! Andddd, last but not least, MY DOTTING TOOLS CAME IN!!!!!! I'm so excited! I think I'll do a design with them tonight or tomorrow before I start school. :) I'll let you know! Happy polishing! <3

its all almost here!

So obviously I haven't been updating as much as I should. I know, I know. I'm a crappy blogger and I'm sorry. :[

but... I have been quite busy, trying to find 2 bridesmaids dresses, because the style was discontinued and I had to call all the way to Georgia to find one. Plus, getting stuff ready for school in like, 5 days!!! I'm sooo excited!

Well. I do have SOME designs to share with you, AND the news that almost ALL of my nail mail is here!!!! Last thing I'm waiting on is my dotting tools. Got everything else!

Heres the designs, and i'll also post some that I aspire to do eventually.. hahaha I'll try & post a link to my pinterest page, because I have a whole entire board dedicated just to nails. :]

For this design, I used Nicole- Wear Something Spar-Kylie for the pink glitter, and Essie- Sand Tropez for the nude. I liked this design, and I'd like to try it with maybe some neons, and see how it goes. If you'd like a tutorial on how to do this, I'll be happy to post one. Just comment and let me know!

This was my red and gold chevron pattern. I used Essie- Enuff is Enuff and Essie- Good as Gold. I loved loved loved this design, and probably wouldn't have taken it off as quickly as I did if it hadn't of chipped. Damn pool water. :[

This didn't turn out the way I wanted. I used China Glaze- For Audrey. I put a simple silver rhinestone on the thumb, and I used a stamper I bought in the mall to do the bow. I don't know why, but for some reason, this didn't look the way it did in my head. Probably won't do this exact design again...

This design was probably one of the hardest for me, for whatever reason. I used Sally Hansen- Hard to Get and China Glaze- Flip Flop Fantasy. It looked great with those two colors, but I did NOT like the way it turned out. Too many uneven lines and such. But thats probably just my own OCD issue. hahaha

This is an ombre I did dedicated to... You guessed it. Fifty Shades of Grey. I am so addicted to this series, its completely ridiculous. The one on my index finger really isn't as dark as it looks. Its a franken polish i made using white & black polish I had laying around. But I actually really liked this manicure. It was really different, and I loved the ombre effect. The black is Wet n Wild Black Creme, the franken polish is mine, the first grey is Pure Ice Kiss Me Here, then NYC Sidewalkers, and then LA COLORS in white. 

This was just a plain polish job using an accent nail. Its Essie Go Overboard, and Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond on my accent nail. I loved the blue. It was GORGEOUS. but... sadly, they chipped in the pool. :[

Now designs I wanna try... 

I love this. But I'm worried I won't be able to get the tape right... Maybe I'll try it with my striping tape..!

I will definitely be trying this one as soon as my dotting tools come in!!!

I won't do this one on myself, but I'll definitely do it on my best friend. She's obsessed.

I love the mustaches, watermelon, and giraffe prints. They're adorable.

You can't see this very well, but its a strand of christmas lights that goes across all your nails. You use string as the cord and hand paint the lights. SO CUTE.

This is another chevron design, just different colors. I kind of like this.

Love the idea of using craft scissors to cut the design in the tape.

I can imagine this would take forever... But it'd be cute as an accent nail for valentines day maybe.

I love this, but just my luck, I'd get words like "death" or "kill" or "rape"... hahaha

This reminds me of Tiffany's. So of course, I love it.

Tape designs. Hate the index finger though... Thats just weird. Only half polished. The there ones are cute.

Well, I'm going to paint my nails now. My plain polish chipped earlier, so now I'm going to use my new nail art brushes to try a watermelon accent nail. :] I'll let you know how it goes!

Okay. I'm the worst blogger ever. I haven't posted anything in days. MY BAD! :{


Well. Since i'm on here already... let me post my swatches. :]

Even though I got almost ALL my nail mail in ONE DAY and I totally haven't even done swatches of those OR the Essie metallics I bought tonight. :]

So let me do the ones I already have swatches for, and then maybe tomorrow after my wedding appointments, I'll do swatches for the others. :] Ignore the messy cuticles and such. I just didn't feel like doing the clean up for each and every single swatch.

Well first off, lets look at one of my only 2 crackle polishes. I'm not a fan. 

This is China Glaze in Black Mesh. Its a good polish, I just don't like the effect.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy.

Loveee this polish. Its sooo bright, and its kind of an orangey pink. Definitely not as pink as the picture shows.

China Glaze- For Audrey (without flash)

I love this shade. I have 4 in different brands. 

Because its China Glaze, its a fantastic polish, and covers well.

China Glaze- Japanese Koi

I'm definitely not a fan of this color... It reminds me of the neon orange Crayola crayon. But I'm also a very picky orange girl. But it really is quite bright.

China Glaze- Pool Party

BRAND NEW POLISH! I've only ever used this polish one time. I absolutely LOVE it. Its a fantastic neon, and its definitely a go-to summer color. 

China Glaze- Purple Panic (no flash)

Totally not purple. Just saying.

China Glaze- Rich & Famous

I love this color. Its just your typical pink, yet still has something particular about it that I really like.

China Glaze-  Ride the Waves

Such a pretty blue. Its supposed to be neon, but its really not that "neon" if you ask me. Overall, a very, very pretty blue I will definitely be using.

China Glaze- Secret Peri-Wink-le

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHADE. Its probably one of my favorite polishes. Its such a pretty blueish purple. Its amazing. I need like, 8000 more bottles. :]

China Glaze- Senorita Bonita

I like this color, even though its purple. (I don't like purples much.)

Its got really pretty flecks of glitter in it. Its definitely bonita!

Maybelline Color Show- Bold Gold

I really like this color. Its such a bright gold, and its just shiny. Its got such a gorgeous texture to it. 

Confetti- Ice Ice Baby

I had to buy this just for its name. Its got gorgeous duo-chrome glitters in it. I love it over black.

Essie- A Crewed Interest 

I don't know how I feel about this. Its a great pastel, but I don't see myself using it much.

Essie- Big Spender

I really like this color so much. Its so very pretty, and so pink!

Essie- Enuff is Enuff. 

I totally love this color. Kind of reddish orange. 

Essie- Fiesta

Its really pretty. Its a Barbie pink. :)

I totally adore this color. Its so pretty. Very natural pink.
