Again. So Sorry.

Again, i've been the worst blogger ever. I've been so neglectful! I promise promise promise that I will give you guys a FANTASTIC update this weekend. I was going to last weekend, but I had to go wedding dress shopping! And then all week we've been doing foiling and highlights and color at school, so its been wayyyy more hectic than usual. I do appreciate you guys sticking with me though! So right now, i'm actually on my way out the door, got a family dinner.

But I promise I'll update you all big time tomorrow night or saturday morning! Just thought i'd touch base and let you all know I hadn't forgotten you!

Happy polishing!

School takes up a lot of time.

I'm sorry guys. I've just been so busy with school, its crazy. Forgive me? I hope so. Well, I got a couple new polishes.... I ordered two off of Copius.com and got two Kleancolor polishes for fifty five cents!! I bought Metallic Purple and Chunky Holo Purple. LOVE THEM. Especially together! I hate purple, (because I'm a Steeler fan, of course.) and I actually love these purple polishes. I'll post pictures later, for sure!

Then I bought Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet. I don't really have a coral color, so I had to buy this! I haven't put it on yet, but I definitely see it happening soon.

I also bought Maybelline Color Show in Tenacious Teal. Its so different than any other "teals" I own, so I had to buy it. This one has a bit more of a greenish tint to it. :) I think maybe i'll wear the teal and coral together... hmm.

I also bought another bottle of Seche Vite, because I now refuse to finish a mani without it. I also bought Seche Clear, because my nails are turning a bit yellow from all the harsh colors I'm putting on my nails. I usually use a Fingerpaints base coat, but its obviously not working. So we'll see. I'm really starting to love this Seche line... Maybe I'll even buy Seche Natural and do my fiancé's nails.. We'll see. ;-)

Well, i'm off to a relaxing day at the pool. My first relaxation day in like, a month!

Happy polishing!

Oh, and I hope you all got the chance to see my guest post on my friend Caitlin's blog on August 1st! If not, heres her link! Go check it out!

Mini Haul :)

Hello everyone! I'm super sorry I haven't posted, I've actually been kinda sick. :( Just got back from the doctor, actually. No worries, I'm fine. :) But anyway. I have two manis to share with you, as well as swatches from the haul :) Aaaaaand heres some news! My guest post will be appearing in my new friend Caitlin's blog on August 1st! Heres her link! http://www.caitlinscreativecorner.com/

Heres my first mani. It is a water marble, and my first water marble ever! I absolutely love it. This design was so cute, and clean up was super easy! I had taped my finger out, of course. Next time, I think i'll do all of my nails!

Here is the second mani. I love the pink tips, but i'm not too sure about the white dots. They look... out of place. But Other than that, I actually like it. I used manicure tape to line everything out. :)

Onto the swatches!

This was a bargain polish! I bought it at Sally's for $3.50! It was on clearance, I saw the gorgeous shimmer in it, and HAD TO HAVE IT. I'm pretty sure its from the Hunger Games collection, but i'm not sure. This is China Glaze- Agro. Its a dark forest green with a pretty golden shimmer. I love it so much!

This is Finger Paints Vermillion $ Painting. This is a gorgeous red-orange with a beautiful golden shimmer. I saw it and grabbed it directly off the shelf, and headed to the counter. I bought the last one! I'm in love. I'm usually a red-hater, but I was so pleasantly surprised when I put this polish on!

This is Finger Paints Natural Talent. Its a very, sheer natural flesh toned polish. This is 3 coats, and its still not total coverage. I like it, and it'd be good when I need my nails to be unnoticed, or under a marble or make up sponge art. :)

These pictures don't do this polish justice. This is Finger Paints Art You Wondering? Its a clear base glitter polish, and takes about 3 coats to fully cover. Although it'd be better to put overtop something else. I love the glitters in this polish, it looks so pretty underneath light.

This is Sinful Colors Glass Pink. Its a very very sheer pink, and it has gorgeous glitters. This is three coats, and its still not completely covered. But I love it. Its another simple polish that'd look good if I wasn't trying to make my nails stand out.

Sinful Colors- Hazard. I. Love. This. Polish. Its a gorgeous orange, coral creme, and it goes on perfectly in two coats. Its got amazing coverage, and this picture really does the color justice.

This is Sinful Colors Mint Apple. I have fallen in love. It takes about 3 coats to cover, but it has such gorgeous shimmers in it, it just catches your eye. I actually made a lady in Target mad cause I bought the last one. It reminds me of a mermaid. :)

Well, thats all for right now. Please keep an eye out on Caitlin's blog for my guest post! (Plus, her blog is super amazing and i love it, and her. heehee!)

Happy polishing!

Just a little bit of info..

Well, I won't be posting any manicures tonight, but I will be giving you guys some fun facts and tips from my week at cosmetology school. :)

First off, in one SQUARE INCH of your skin, there are more nerve endings than there are grains of sand in the ocean. FUN FACT!

Now, some tips.
Let me start off by telling everyone- a majority of america uses the WRONG TYPE OF SKIN CARE. Most of americans have combination skin. Wanna know how to find out? Wash your face with your normal skin care, and before applying moisturizer, let your skin dry for 20 minutes to an hour. If your skin feels really tight and dry, you're using something for oily skin, and you actually have combination. If your skin feels excessively oily, and like you haven't washed it at all, then you're using something for dry skin and you, once again, have combination. Make sure when you wash your face, it doesn't feel dry or excessively oily. If you need other information, let me know, and i'll do what I can.

Secondly, most of us go get our eye brows waxed at a nail salon. I'm also pretty sure we've all come home at least once and had bumps on our eye brows or had a scab. That, my friends, is because most NAIL TECHS are NOT licensed to wax. Cosmetologists and estheticians are licensed to wax. Ask to see their license if you're worried about it. Those bumps? Yeah. Its because they're using the same stick to apply the wax as they did on the last person. The scab? Its because they waxed over the same area twice. NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Every time they dip the stick in the wax, they're supposed to throw it away after they use it. Even if its YOUR skin, they should NEVER double dip a waxing applicator. So that's what happened there.

Well, I know its a short post, but it wasn't a very interesting week. I'll hopefully have more next week!

Thanks for reading! Happy polishing!!

ITS KILLIN ME!

Okay. So i'm super sorry I haven't posted... Buttt..... Its this cosmetology school, man! Its KILLING ME! Up at 6, home at 6. Then its dinner, and bed. Luckily, I'm not too tired, so i'm updating for you guys!

Well, at school, they give us these kits.... And in it, theres a WHOLE BOX of manicure stuff and acrylic stuff. SO STINKIN EXCITING! <3

So, yeah. The black, grey and white mani lasted like, a day. Then I went to Sally's that night. BAD BAD PLACE FOR ME. I bought 4 more polishes. I bought China Glaze Diva Bride, Ultra Pro in Orange Flame, Solar Flare, & Lime Light. :) Then, Tuesday, my FIRST EVER BIRCHBOX CAME IN THE MAIL! I was so excited. I got lime green headphones, UV Color Protectant for my hair, a perfume sample, purple liquid eyeliner, aaaaanddddd.... NAIL POLISH! Its a mini bottle of Color Club Blue-ming :) LOVE IT!

I put it on right away!
Heres the polish. On my accent nail is China Glaze Diva Bride. I love love love it. The first picture is without the flash, in a dark room. It shoes the color PERFECTLY. the second picture is too bright to show the trueness of the color. But i'd definitely recommend it!

I am proud of myself, because today is actually the second day wearing this polish. I just can't bring myself to take it off I love it so much! But, I think i'll change it by this weekend. :)

I'll be doing a guest post on my new found friend Caitlin's blog sometime soon, so i'll be working on that later this weekend! I'll give you all the link as soon as I get the "go ahead" and its up!

Happy polishing!

Black, White, and Grey Mani.

This was my first time actually attempting serious nail art, other than a simple chevron or tape mani. I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF! It turned out so cute, and I am SO READY for school tomorrow! I dedicate this mani to Regency Beauty Institute, where the dress code for the students is black, white and grey. (Accessories may be any color)

This is the base color I used. Its Loreal Greycian Goddess. I love it so much. It was perfect!

This is the final product! I used Sally Hansen Hard to Get as the white stripes and dots, and Wet N Wild Black Creme as the black. The pink heart is NYC Lincoln  Square Lavender. I added the pink heart to add a simple pop of color, to symbolize the "any color accessories" :)

I'm in love with this manicure!! What do you think?!

Surprise!!

I have a surprise for you!!!!

SWATCHES!!!! YAY!!!

Before I did my black white and grey mani, I decided to finally post pictures of the polishes I got from Nail Mail, and some more swatches of polishes I bought earlier. :)

So, here they are!!!!

Maybelline Color Show- Iced Queen
I love love love these polishes. They're not all that expensive, and they go on so nicely. This polish only took two coats to fully cover my nail. I love this, and I cannot wait to do a full purple mani!

China Glaze- Don't Touch My Tiara
This is my favorite polish. Ever. Its such a gorgeous sheer pink, and its perfect for any season. I have already used so much of this, its crazy. My mom even loves this pink, and she's TOTALLY picky about her polishes. I searched EVERYWHERE for it, and I finally found it on ebay. I was oh so excited.

Color Club- Almost Famous
This is NOT neon. The first picture is perfect, and shows it amazingly. Its a creamy yellow, and takes about 3 coats to fully cover. Its a perfect yellow, and I love it. I can't wait to use it with a water marble. :)

Essie- Go Overboard
I love this color. Its a blueish, and I didn't think I'd love it when I saw it in the store, but I bought it reluctantly, and put it on. I LOVE IT. It goes on perfectly in 2 coats, and it looks great underneath glitters.

Color Club- Chelsea Girl
This is a gorgeous cream blue, and goes on pretty well in about 3 coats. Its so pretty, and so summery. I will definitely be using this in a water marble.

Essie- good as gold
Love this metallic. It goes on so smooth, and its such a gorgeous sheen. But, as seen in the second picture, it tends to have a matte finish. Although, that is easily solved with a pretty shiny top coat. :)

Essie- No Place like Chrome
This is such a gorgeous silver!!!! Its just like the Good As Gold, but in silver! its like having foil on your nail. Its oh so pretty. <3

NYC- Broadway Burgundy
Gorgeous jelly red. It has such pretty glitters in it, even though the picture doesn't show it. I love this, and I can't wait to actually use this polish!

NYC- Lincoln Square Lavender
This is named lavender, but I see it as more of a pink than purple... Either way, I love this. I can tell I'll be using so much of this polish. Its perfect, because it covers in exactly 2 coats. Its shiny and pretty and pink and I love it.

China Glaze- Traffic Jam
This is such a gorgeous raspberry color. I love the way this color looks in the bottle, and its the same color on your nails. Everyone that sees this polish falls in love with it!

China Glaze- Prism
This is my favorite glitter polish. No questions. Its got such dimension, and the different colors of the glitter, its SO GORGEOUS. It looks even better when its on top of other colors. I don't think I've seen a single color this DOESN'T look good on. So my suggestion? Go buy it. Right now. :)

Loreal- Greycian Goddess
This is a perfectly colored grey. Theres no question about it. I don't have any greys that are just like it. I totally debated back and forth about whether to buy it or not. I'm so glad my friend Jayme talked me into it! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be using this as my grey for my manicure tonight. :)

Well, thats all for right now. :) Let me know what you think of these GORGEOUS polishes!!

Happy polishing!!
