Let me explain...

Hello there!
Well first off, let me explain myself. My name is Krystal, and I'm a nail polish addict. It all started when I went to get my nails done at a salon, and ended up paying over $50 for acrylics and a toe polish. The total came up and my jaw literally dropped. Keep in mind, I've been getting my nails done since I was in 3rd grade. Yep. You read that right. 3rd grade. I've had acrylics on my nails since I was in little league soccer. (I quit because I had too many broken nails.) So you can assume how unhealthy my nails were. So after I painfully handed over my debit card to the little asian woman behind the counter, I vowed to myself that I was going to do everything in my power to never let someone charge me so much for something so simple again. I then discovered the do-it-yourself acrylic sets in Sally's and Walmart. Let me just warn you- NEVER DO IT. It TORE MY NAILS UP. I am STILL dealing with weak, brittle nails that have a tendency to break in very painful spots, and I haven't had acrylics on in over 3 months. Well, after realizing that THOSE weren't the best idea, I discovered the press-on's from Kiss. You know, the ones that the Pussycat Doll's singer supports. Well, I must admit... They're pretty good. I liked them, but because I was working in a day care at the time, the kids liked to press them towards my cuticles, which messed with the adhesive underneath, and snapped them off. Even though the breaking was painless, and did not injure my nails whatsoever, I was getting tired of coming home & replacing them. So, I realized I had one option. Plain old nail polish. Well... It's all been addiction from there. It started only buying one occasionally, but that wasn't enough. I got tired of using the same colors, and I've never been one to leave nail polish on long enough to even let it start to chip. If it starts to chip, I pick it all off and I can do nothing but pick at my nails until its all off. So I change it before it gets to that point. So then, I started buying 2 and 3 bottles at a time. Then it got to 4, and 5. I was spending more on nail polish in a month than I had spent on acrylic nails in 3 months. It was BAD. Well, it went on just like that for quite some time, until I met my fiancé, Jason. When I moved in and he saw all my nail polish, I thought he was going to fall over. My collection is steady growing, and Jason is ready to kill me. I quit working once we got engaged so I could plan the wedding & figure out what I wanted to do with my career. He'd come home and I'd be surrounded by bottles. Bottles of nail polish. Being the man that he is, he didn't understand why I needed 4 of the "same color". (FYI- they're totally NOT the same color.) Well, after him yelling at me for a month about my addiction, I decided to put it to use. Cosmetology school. So... Starting July 16th, I will officially be a full-time Cosmetology student. Which means... I'll have lots of tips of the trade to share with YOU! So... Lets get this thing started. I'll be posting pictures of every single one of my polishes, with their names AND brands. I'll also be posting any and all designs I do on my nails. If I take a design idea from another blog or website, I'll be sure to post a link so you'll be able to find a tutorial if I don't post one myself. Wish me luck!
